The best way to learn about your enamels and equipment is to make sample strips! Every time I get a new batch of enamels, I'll make a new sample strip. The tone and intensity of the color can vary between batches, especially if you are acquiring older enamels.

Note: This is a slightly older video and I’ve slightly changed up my process. I think it’s important to sift your enamel to get a nice transparency in your sample strip. So do everything in this video, but before your sift you colors onto the sample, sift it using a 200 mesh sifter. You don’t need to sift opaque or semi-opaques…
