As a jewelry maker, I am drawn to the timeless beauty and versatility of vitreous enamel. This ancient technique involves fusing glass to metal, creating a vibrant and durable surface that is both functional and artistic.

In my work, I strive to push the boundaries of this medium, experimenting with different colors, textures, and shapes to create unique and one-of-a-kind pieces. Each piece is entirely handmade by me, from the initial design process to the final polish.

Working with vitreous enamel is a labor of love that requires patience and precision. The process begins with carefully selecting the right metal and glass powders, which I then mix with water to create a paint-like consistency. I apply the enamel to the metal surface using a fine brush, creating intricate patterns and designs. The piece is then fired in a kiln at high temperatures, melting the glass and fusing it to the metal.

Once the enamel has cooled, I carefully grind and polish the surface to reveal the vibrant colors and textures hidden beneath. The result is a shimmering, multi-dimensional work of art that is both functional and beautiful.

I am constantly inspired by the endless possibilities of vitreous enamel and the endless ways it can be used to create stunning jewelry. Whether I am working on a simple pendant or a complex piece of artwork, I approach each piece with the same passion and dedication to craftsmanship.

Through my work, I hope to not only create beautiful and unique pieces of jewelry, but also to share my love of this timeless medium and the endless possibilities it offers.
